California Air Districts
Clear Skies has received approvals from most of the major Air Districts in California for installation of the HearthCAT Device as an emissions control retro-fit in existing wood burning fireplaces. Those Air Districts include Sacramento Metro, San Joaquin Valley, South Coast Air Quality Management District, Kern County, Placer County and many others.
Access the links below to view the letters from the Air Districts:
| Nationwide Chimney Sweeps
According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), the HearthCAT System can legally be installed anywhere in the US as an add-on emission control system for wood burning fireplaces. The air quality benefits have been clearly documented and the EPA required qualification testing has been completed for all types of fireplaces including Modular Masonry, site built masonry and factory built zero clearance fireplaces. Test Reports are available upon request: Contact info@clearskiesunlimited.com

| Regulations and Air Districts
The Federal Clean Air Act (FCAA) forms the basis for the national air pollution control effort. Basic elements of the act include stationary source emissions standards and regulations. The Primary responsibility for wood burning regulations rests with the local and regional air pollution control authorities known as Air Pollution Control Districts (APCD) or Air Quality Management Districts (AQMD).

|
California has 35 Air Districts. The largest of which are the San Joaquin Valley, Bay Area, Sacramento Metro and South Coast Air Quality Management in Los Angeles. Although, Air District Approval is NOT required for the installation of the HearthCAT, Clear Skies has requested letters from the major air districts in order to pursue grant fundung and tax incentives and rebates for homeowners.
